The Centre de Recherches TOTAL developped this apparatus to answer a major problem of oil indsutry :

to measure automatically and rapidly the very low contents of Sulfur in petroleum products (to 0.1 ppm) in routine analysis, and in the best conditions regarding :

- Accuracy
- Rapidity
- Implementation
- Comfort of using

This research led to the conception of 2 main analysers :

- SULF UV(sulfur analysis by UV fluorescence)
- LUMAZOTE (nitrogen analysis by chimiluminescence)

These equipments are available in 2 different versions* :

- "Complete" which enables every kind of analysis : solid, liquid and gaseous products

- "Simplified Liquid" (SL) : especially dedicated to the analysis of liquid and gaseous products which meets directly the petroleum refineries expectations.

Moreover, being aware of always meeting the expectations of our customers, we are developping (thanks to the new 2M generation of detectors)an instrument which associates a simultaneous analysis of Sulfur by UV fluorescence and Nitrogen by chemiluminescence in these 2 versions ("complete" or "SL")

Such a combined analyser will be more handy for the users who have as many samples of Sulfur as Nitrogen ones to analyse since the mineralization system is the same for both of these elements.

Currently, we propose a combined analyser which allows Sulfur or Nitrogen analysis according the same principle : a common combustion source, 1 detector for each element.
